PEMBERDAYAAN PROGRAM SRI {System Of Rice Intensification) PADA KELOMPOK TANI SUKA MAKMUR III DI DESA GRUJUGAN KIDUL KECAMATAN GRUJUGAN KABUPATEN BONDOWOSO

Abstract

The Suka Makmur III farmer group is a forum for farmers in Grujugan Kidul Village in developing the System of Rice Intensification (SRI) program. The aims of this study were (1) to identify the empowerment of SRI program farmers in the Suka Makmur III Farmer Group and (2) to analyze strategies in empower SRI program farmers in the Suka Makmur Farmer Group III. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Research location purposively. Data analysis used is data reduction, data display and evaluation. The results of the study show (1) the ability of empowered farmers to implement the SRI program is seen based on: a) farmers' choice of production inputs; b) the needs of farmers to manage farming; c) the ability to express opinions; d) farmer's ability to access planting technology, e) ability to manage planting power; f) ability to optimize land. (2) the strategy of the Suka Makmur III farmer group in the SRI program was carried out by a) motivating through the role of pioneer farmers, b) providing training, c) the role of farmer group management, d) mobilizing farmers using superior seeds, e) activities changing farmers in the use of tools plant.
