Abstract

The picture and picture type cooperative learning model in increasing student understanding can produce an effective, innovative learning process and improve the results of student activities. This research aims to determine the application of the picture and picture learning model in improving students' understanding. The research approach uses qualitative with a descriptive type. The research location is at SDN Wonosuko 01. Data sources are divided into two, namely primary and secondary. Primary data sources are the principal, class teachers and students of SDN Wonosuko 01 and secondary data sources are the results of observation and documentation. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research stages are pre-field, field and data analysis. The research results show: 1) The picture and picture learning model has many benefits in the classroom learning process, 2) There are various considerations that must be taken into account before determining the learning model.
