Studi Kasus Dampak Kurangnya Perhatian Orang Tua Terhadap Pembentukan Karakter Seorang Remaja Didesa Pasarejo, Kecamatan, Wonosari, Kabupaten Bondowoso

Abstract

This research aims to describe the form of lack of parental attention and its impact on the character formation of a teenager in Pasarejo Village, Wonosari District, Bondowoso Regency. The method used is a qualitative approach with case studies, through observation techniques, in-depth interviews and documentation. The research subject was a 19 year old teenager who showed symptoms of lack of parental attention in the form of minimal communication, emotional support and involvement in daily activities. The research results show that lack of parental attention has a direct impact on the formation of adolescent character, such as weak discipline, low sense of responsibility, lack of self-confidence, and difficulty in communicating. This influence is
strengthened by low family interaction and the use of technology which reduces emotional closeness. Research confirms that parental attention is an important factor in the formation of moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action which determines the development of a teenager's character towards maturity.
