Abstract

Madrasah Tsanawiyah education is a deliberate and systematic process of guidance aimed at shaping individuals who are faithful, God-fearing, of noble character, and capable of applying Islamic teachings in their daily lives. The success of Islamic education, in essence, is not only measured by students’ high academic achievement but also by their ability to implement Islamic values in daily life. Based on preliminary observations showed the school has implemented various programs for religious character development; however, in practice, some students were still found to lack discipline in following school rules. The subjects or informants in this study consisted of two students: Student A (a female student) and Student B (a male student). The significant other was one teacher. Data Collection Techniques: Observation, In-Depth Interviews, and Literature Review—Reviewing literature related to psychoanalysis, values education, and Islamic values from scientific journals, books, and other reliable sources to support the theoretical framework. The research results show a clear difference in behavior between Student A and Student B regarding the application of Islamic values and discipline within the madrasah and pesantren environments. Student A exhibits disciplined behavior, respects teachers, and is able to carry out religious activities properly, whereas Student B still exhibits undisciplined behavior, such as arriving late for activities and showing a lack of respect for teachers during the learning process.
