Mathematics learning in elementary schools is often considered difficult by students because conventional methods do not actively involve students, resulting in low learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of grade 4 students of SDN Tamanan 1. The research method used is qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of PBL is very effective in improving mathematics learning outcomes. PBL encourages students to be actively involved through problem identification, group discussions, and contextual problem solving. Students showed a significant increase in learning outcomes, as seen from the values before and after the implementation of PBL. In addition, students became more active, enthusiastic, and motivated in the learning process. Contextual problems presented in PBL increase the relevance of mathematics to students' daily lives, while collaboration and discussion support the development of critical thinking and communication skills. Based on these findings, PBL not only improves understanding of mathematical concepts but also encourages students' activeness, enthusiasm, and motivation. Thus, the PBL learning model is recommended as an alternative effective method in mathematics learning in elementary schools.
